Seasoned home preserver, Ashley James, is a mother to four (3 boys), lives off-grid outside of Athol, and is an expert on utilizing pressure canning to meet the demands of her busy life. She will show us how to pressure can with meat, raw packing beef stew. While we wait during the canning process, she will go over how she utilizes her whole cow, with her cut list and some recipe ideas, to efficiently feed her family of six.
Most of us are getting our beef from the butcher this time of year, so use this opportunity to understand cuts and family food with beef, so that none will go to waste.
Class is in Hayden, Idaho on November 6, from 6-8 pm. Specific location and materials details will be shared with those who purchase the week of class. Each attendee will take home a quart of stew and an information packet.
